Travel by Sea on Scillonian III

The Scillonian III
The vessel has comfortable lounge areas, a buffet, a licensed bar and souvenir shop together with a small but interesting exhibition illustrating life on the islands.

The journey takes approximately 2hrs 40min and provides panoramic views of the Cornish coastline on departing Penzance and of the archipeligo on nearing the Isles of Scilly.

Your approach to Scilly on a high tide bring St. Martins and Tresco into sight and if you arrive at low water, Gugh and St. Agnes come into view on the ship's port side. Either way, your arrival by sea is an enchanting start to your holiday.

Upon dis-embarking at St. Mary's quay your luggage (clearly labelled with your name and holiday address) can be transported to 'Eastbank' by island carriers who charge a small fee for this service or a taxi can be hired for the short journey to Porthloo.

Advanced booking on Scillonian III is essential and it would be wise to consider holiday insurance for any contingencies such as delayed departure due to inclement weather etc.
Further details including scheduled sailing times and fares can be found on the Isles of Scilly Steamship Co. website via the following link.
